Superbowl Snacks!

Since I am not really die-hard into either of the teams playing I am ALWAYS down for an excuse to make and enjoy some of my favorite snacks all on one day! Here are the treats I plan on making tomorrow some kind of healthy, some not so much, but that’s okay because I plan on being in the gym the morning of the big day so, I won’t feel so bad stuffing my face later.

Jalape帽o Poppers

I have been so excited about these since I discovered them a couple weeks. Literally, I think I have made them at least once a week since I found this recipe. It’s so easy and you can have a lot because they are not a lot of fat or calories at all. It is a WeightWatchers recipe which really helps me so I know I won’t be off track with this one.

Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Baby Carrots

This is a recipe my mom found and I am really looking forward to this one. I LOVE any spinach and artichoke dip I can find. Plus, lately I’ve been really trying to incorporate fresh fruits and veggies into my daily snacking so I bought baby carrots, which I don’t think I have seriously eaten since I was a baby. I can’t really eat them raw and plain like my mom. I need some type of dip or a little sprinkle of pepper and garlic powder, SOMETHING! because I’m not too fond of the plain raw taste of carrots. I think I will really enjoy this dip though with my baby carrots. I’ll probably have to really try not to eat more dip than carrot!

Buffalo Cauliflower Bites

Just found this one today. My mom sent on a mission to find a low-fat, low-calorie, low-sodium chicken wing recipe, but I came across this recipe on ToneItUp.com and I thought, why do we need to have meat? I love cauliflower and the more veggies I can incorporate into this fare the better!

Cheesy Ranch Bacon Potato Nuggets with Ranch Dressing

Now we’re getting into the not-so-healthy snacks. Click on the link above and you will see why when my mom brought this recipe to my attention I couldn’t refuse. It looks delicious and I can’t wait to pop these into my mouth tomorrow!

Toffee Blondies with Whiskey Caramel Sauce

Because I love sweets probably more than anyone ALIVE I had to have a sweet treat for tomorrow’s game. My mom gave me a choice: She could either make this, or her world famous bread pudding with rum sauce. This was a really hard choce because I love my mom’s bread pudding with rum sauce, and it doesn’t come around too often. But this recipe from BettyCrocker.com sounded AMAZING too! I figured, let’s try something new. So, that is why tomorrow we will be enjoying these Toffee Blondies with Whiskey Caramel Sauce. Just typing this is making my mouth water!
